Ana is a pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Hawai’i. Her therapeutic focus is on helping you understand the dynamics of your family of origin and the various factors that shape your personal narrative.
Her unique approach is humanistic, evidence-based, and trauma-informed. Ana will work collaboratively with you to enhance self-compassion and self-awareness, supporting you as you cultivate a better relationship with yourself and others.
By combining narrative and solution-focused approaches to psychotherapy, Ana offers a culturally sensitive method that helps clients understand the aspects of their own narratives that may be holding them back, as well as those areas where they have agency and resources to address their presenting concerns.
Ana has supported clients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, chronic pain, relationship issues, grief, and adjustment disorders from diverse backgrounds, using a compassionate approach that incorporates Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and a joyful, optimistic attitude.
She offers sessions in both English and Portuguese.
